Plants and earth pigments.

Natural dyeing is a combination of chemistry, creativity and patience.

My outdoor studio allows me to fully immerse myself in nature, creating art that reflects the essence of my environment.

Collection

Except for a few, almost all of the natural colors I use in my practice are collected or grown by me. A crucial part of my practice involves foraging for my color sources.

Extraction

One plant or mineral source can hold a variety of colors. It requires a certain patience and skill to achieve desired colors.

Application

I use several different techniques including, sibori, mordant painting, eco printing, tie-dye, bandhani. I love trying traditional dye techniques as well as more modern ones.

Workshops and events

I am passionate about demystifying and sharing the natural world through art. I enjoy hosting workshops where I teach eco printing, reciprocal foraging and the ink making process.
