I was raised in Western Montana, USA but I moved to the island of Crete, Greece in 2016. I have always been drawn to textiles, painting and plant foraging, and have been practicing natural dyes since 2019. Inspired by the forgotten traditions of the island, I started to use locally foraged plants and earth minerals to dye and paint on fabric and paper.

Statement
I approach art as a way of building a relationship with the land, and to strengthen the connection between myself and the natural world. Harvesting and processing plants and earth material is an integral part of my practice and allows me to establish an intentional and reciprocal relationship with my surroundings. I aim to cultivate appreciation and attention by prioritizing a slower artistic practice.
Sustaining this artistic practice allows me to continuously consider my relationship with the world around me and to situate myself more completely within the earth. I believe that natural art can help shift our world views and encourage transformations in the way we relate to the world around us.
My goal as an artist is to inspire others to appreciate the beauty of the natural world and to consider their role as responsible keepers of the earth through art. I am passionate about empowering others to explore and create art in harmony with nature, and it has lead me to host workshops and tutorials to share these experiences.
